Many of our customers still have volumes of music, radio programs and recorded family moments on old 5/16 inch (1/4 inch) reel to reel tape. Some even have old Steno-cassettes that they used in their past for dictation. Just like old cine film, these recordings may be priceless and should be preserved in a format that is stable and useable. We can transfer all of your 2 & 4 track audio tapes, Cassettes and Steno-cassettes onto CD or DVD-R or DVD+R, whatever speed they were recorded at.

Unknown Length or Content - not a problem!
Unlike most forms of recording media, it's impossible to determine how long a Reel-to-Reel tape may play for, or how much the final conversion costs will be, even if we know the size/length of your tapes! The reason for this is that reel-to-reel tapes may have been recorded at several different speeds and on as many as four separate tracks. As you can see from the chart below, a small 300ft reel may play for as long as 2 hours or as little as 7.5 minutes depending on what speed it was recorded at and on how many tracks! That's why we have developed two thoughtful options for you......

Option #1 - Tape Review Service

We will play & monitor your tape and send you a rough draft of it's content. This service cost's £15 per tape regardless of length. In order for us to provide this service, payment must be made in advance along with the order.

Option #2 - Set a Limit
If you don't need the review service above, but you do have a budget to work with, you may provide us with an upper cost limit prior to us starting your conversion. Just advise us of your limit and we will process your order either to completion, or up to the limit you have stated, whichever comes first. If the order is not complete, we will advise you of the status and of the projected cost for completion. You can then decide if you want us to continue or not.

Because of the nature of our work, every order we receive requires careful preparation and time to produce. We will not sacrifice quality in favour of quantity! Fast-Track Service
Our Fast-track option includes processing and despatch within 3 to 5 working days (depending on the size of the order). If available, this service is subject to an additional 20% surcharge on processing costs and is only available if current work loads permit. Call or ask us for status at time of order.
